Review of Amagi Brilliant Park

The Storyline is so cute and light-hearted yet has some serious moments, it also has hints of romance, but mostly the romance is the end half of the Anime. When I first heard of this Anime, I turned away from it, and didn’t want to watch it, but then one day I wanted to laugh and not have an Anime that would make me more depressed so I click on episode 1 and I was laughing so much that I forgot about my own real life problems. This is a unique storyline for the most part and the pace was amazingly well executed.

The Animation and Sound was really really good. The animation was perfect and was at a very high quality and the sound was also at a high quality, not only that but the Opening song was very catchy and addicting and was soon one of the songs that I would hum at work.

The Characters were all unique and really interesting, even the one that barely had any major screen time. The character developments between Sento and Kanie are so wonderfully done. Kanie is a really great character and I loved him throughout the whole series. Moffle was really funny and was the main reason for my laughing out loud.

Overall I really loved and enjoyed this Anime, and the only downfall being it was just TOO SHORT… It should have been longer, so then they could have developed even more of the characters and more into the storyline.

Review of Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

The Storyline was actually really unique and interesting. It is for an Adult audience, and although I am still not 100% into them, I can still enjoy them to nearly the full extent. Anime such as Tokyo Ghoul and Psycho Pass helped me with getting used to the more adult mature themes. But then the ending came around, and although some people didn't mind the ending, I did… Not going to say what happened as that would be spoilers, but it just wasn't right to end it like that in my opinion.

The Animation was really good and really fit the type of genre and Anime. The Sound was good, but I didn't really like the style of the opening and ending songs, but that’s just my opinion and based also on the type of music I enjoy.

The Characters are all unique and I found it really hard to connect with them that much, but I did start to connect to the main male character around the halfway point in the Anime. I did feel sorry for the main characters and enjoyed when they were kick-ass fighting people. There were a few characters that I really despised and wanted to destroy with my own two hands.

Overall it was a really unique storyline, which could have easily been one of my favourites if it wasn't for the lack of connection to characters and the storyline ending in the way that I didn't like.

Review of Love Stage!!

The Storyline is definitely unique in most ways. I loved the fact is wasn’t all focused on the Love, or the fact it is a Shounen-Ai Anime, but it also has heaps of Comedy in it, which made this Anime so much better. The pace and style of this Anime was actually surprisingly really well done, but I must say, watching the OVA afterwards the main Series, did help end it a bit better, but it’s not essential.

The Animation and Sound was fantastic and the opening song… was so addicting and catchy and that’s no lie. I also love the eyes of the main boy, it is really well animated.

The Characters, what to say about those damn Characters. Izumi is a young, cute and small guy, but I kept mistaken him being a young boy. I loved the fact he didn’t want to follow in his family’s footsteps but wanted to make his own future and do what he wants to do. Ryouma for me was a very difficult character to like, but eventually I did end up liking him. Some of his traits weren’t appealing at all, but his kindness at times was heart-warming. The relationship between Izumi and Ryouma was sweet and cute but uncomfortable at times, because of Izumi looking so damn young and little. Izumi’s older brother; Shougo was normally the one that makes it the funniest and his obsession and protectiveness over Izumi is pretty cute and funny.

Overall this Anime was shockingly a really good Anime, even though I thought it wouldn’t be. It did romance and comedy justice.

Review of Blue Spring Ride (Ao Haru Ride)

The Storyline is pretty similar to other school romance Anime but of course there are some differences. You have the girl that hangs around with “Popular” girls so she isn’t alone. You have the popular boy who doesn’t even need to try. The difference is, it’s not a simpler, I love you, You love Me thing, as there’s problems and difficulties in both the girl and the boy and of course, let’s not forget….Love Triangle, which was the bit I didn’t like. The pace and the way it was told were amazing and well done. I love how it tackled other problems other than the main love interest.

The Animation and Sound was amazing and I loved the Opening song, it was catchy and memorable.

The Characters were the weakest thing of all the Anime. I loved the majority of them, and I loved the main two characters; Kou and Futaba, but some of the Secondary Characters, I just wanted to yell at them, as they were just annoying. The main secondary Character that I didn’t like was Yuuri, she was just in the way all the time, and causes stuff that just shouldn’t have happened, of course by the end, I didn’t mind her, but the majority of the time I didn’t like her.

Overall I really loved this Romance Anime, although certain things really annoyed me. I also hope for a second season, although it’s not the end of the world, if a second season doesn’t come around.

Review of Zankyou no Terror (Terror in Resonance)

The Storyline is definitely a unique. It’s also very realistic in a shocking way. I avoided this Anime at first, when I know it was about terrorism but then it was getting rated such high ratings, and I just couldn’t resist checking this Anime out. Most the time, it takes 2-3 Episodes of an Anime to get me hooked, but this one got me hooked straight away from the first episode. From beginning, to middle to the end of this Anime, it was amazing, and nothing was wrong in my books when it came to the storyline. The pace was perfect and the language used was also perfect.

The Animation was amazing and was perfect of the type of Anime it was. The Sound was amazing for the voice actors and sound effects, but I wasn’t a fan of the opening song, yet I was a fan of the opening animation.

The Characters were perfectly written, even the ones I didn’t like.  I love all 3 main characters for different reasons. Nine was an amazing leader in difficult situations and also very brave, not only that but his stoic personality suited him and if it wasn’t for that then he would have been like any other character in an Anime. Twelve was the complete opposite to Nine which was perfect as they worked together, while Nine was always quiet and in his own shell, Twelve was optimistic and hyper and acted like a little child, but that kept the Anime not getting to depressing. The last character I will be talking in depth is the girl Lisa. She got dragged into this, and the way she handles it was really brave and I was pretty impressed with her. I would have most likely screwed up and got myself killed within the first two hours of meeting them.

Overall I really loved this Anime, and it impacted me and had me feeling things, that I never thought I would from an Anime with tags such as Terrorism. There is nothing but the opening song that I didn’t like and some of the characters of course.

Review on Clannad/Clannad After Story

This anime may have its emotional ups and downs but the story was so real that you could understand it and I have yet come across another anime like this.

The Storyline of both of these anime's was really good as I have watched them both twice :) While I was watching, it got me thinking about that this could happen to anyone in real life and what if there was life on another planet that we didn't know about.

The Animation was really clear and I really enjoyed watching the boys getting beaten up and I also enjoyed watching them play baseball weather if they were practising their swings or the real game.

The Sound for this anime was perfect because all the opening and endings suited what was happening in each series. Each voice actor suited their character and done a good job.

The Characters all have something very unique about each of them however with all of them being themselves it only makes the anime more and more realistic. I also like how they all become friends even  though they are all different.

My Overall opinion of this anime is that it was amazing and it shows that anything can come true only if your truly want it to and with pain and sacrifice there will always be happiness. I'm really glad that my friend suggested that I should watch this.

Review of Psycho Pass 2

P.S. Please check out my review for Season 1 first: Click here to the Review

The Storyline was amazing and I loved it. There of course scenes that freaked me out, but I was expecting this, as the first season was just as bad, if anything worse. The pace of this Anime is perfect and by the end of each episode, I wanted more. There were shocks, twists and turns and parts where I thought couldn't be true, yet was.

The Animation and Sound was amazing. The Animation was clear as day and the fighting and violent scenes were perfect. The voice actors in both Subbed and Dubbed were perfect and suited the Characters really well. The opening and ending songs suited the Anime well and even though they aren't my typical songs that I would like, they were very addicting.

The Characters that were returning was just as good as ever or as mean and evil as ever. Akane is one female character that I admire and feel sorry for, throughout the whole series. Her strength and bravery are something extraordinary and I wished that I could have helped her. It was hard at first to get used to the new characters, but let me say, after a few episodes, I felt they were perfect to replace the ones that went in season 1. I also knew from season 1 to not judge a book by its cover, but yet, on this case I am glad I did. Akane’s new partner; Mika, just annoyed me from get go, and I hated her, and that never changed ever in the whole series.

Overall this was an amazing second season, I just wished that it was longer as in my opinion it could have been even better if it had a few more episodes.

Review of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

The Storyline is like a normal romance, comedy kind of story but it does have a lot of uniqueness and it’s really not like your typical love story. So if you want something that kisses all the time, you have the wrong Anime. One of the main things I took out of this was never judge a book by its cover and people can be friends with anyone they like no matter the personality.

The Animation and Sound fit the Anime really well, but I  really didn't enjoy the opening song very much. Although every time I listen to it, it gets catchier.

The Characters is such a hard thing to talk about, as there is so many characters that I really want to talk about, but if I try to talk about them all, this review will last for ages. I will cut it short and say that my favourite character is Seo, yes for once I didn't pick the main character (laughs). Her personality was just really refreshing and it just made me laugh. Also the fact she looks like one thing and acts like another, and then she has yet another kind of personality on top of all that. She’s just so unique and awesome.

Overall I really found this Anime very enjoyable and funny, but the ending just made me groan internally and want to scream at the screen.

Review of Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist

The Storyline was I guess kind of... different to what I've seen, but in the same way… it kind of just… made me think of other Anime like, Black Butler and Pandora Hearts. I think the main uniqueness of this was the comedy in this was so pure and it did make me laugh a lot more than I thought.

The Animation and Sound was pretty good. Animation and Sound helped me to be intrigued and interested in this Anime.

The Characters were very different… each one very very different. It’s really hard to go in depth. My favourite character was William (The main Character), but not because of that fact. I just felt that he kind of reacted in a normal way.  I also thought of a weird thing. Williams friend’s family owns a tea company or something like that, and Williams last name is Twining, and well there Twining tea… so maybe the friend named Tea after William…just something to think on.

Overall I really did enjoy this Anime, but it just can’t be one of my favourites as it lacked something that other Anime didn't.

Review of Inu x Boku SS

The Storyline is weird... But then again it said that in the synopsis. It has elements of uniqueness which I love in Anime... Because if you can pull off an Anime with come uniqueness then you have something some Anime just don’t have. I really enjoyed this storyline; there was just something that helped… I think it’s the mix between the Romance, Comedy, Supernatural and Drama.

The Animation and Sound was good enough and worthy enough... And of course the Opening song was epic…. The endings songs, yes plural... as there was different ones based on different characters, well some were good and some Or at least ONE of them... was bad, and I mean bad.

The Characters were entertaining although... some of them I just hated... just... really hated. The relationship development between Ririchiyo and Soushi was so amazing and truly beautiful.

Overall this Anime managed to cover 4 different genres on one, without putting too much into one and made a very enjoyable and amazing Anime, which I will never forget about.

Review of Code:Breaker

The Storyline was very unique, as in there is very few elements that share a connection to other Anime bar the obvious. I really liked the fact the main girl looks pretty weak but can actually defend herself to some level, and also like the fact she risks her life for the people that are also willing to risk their own life for her.

The Animation and Sound were pretty good for a 2012 Anime and the Opening song was brilliant and very addicting, it was hard to skip it when I needed to.

The Characters were most likely the weakest thing in the whole Anime. I have this issue with girl Anime characters called Sakura… because in all the Anime that I have watch, the girl named Sakura is very annoying to begin with but then by the time I have seen them gain strength and get to know them, I start to really connect and love them. The same goes for this girl Sakura in this Anime. Also I really loved Masaomi for reasons you may only understand if you watch this... to the end.

Overall I really enjoyed this Anime, but certain things just didn't click with me.

Review of Pandora Hearts

The Storyline although compared to some Anime, for me was unique in the fact it started in the past, but very quickly came into the present which then the main storyline and adventure starts. I also like the fact that they didn’t explain everything all at once and that, us as watchers had to figure things out ourselves (or ask your boyfriend to make sense of it). Another thing this storyline did was KEPT ME HOOKED after a certain episode, and any Anime that keeps me hooked and makes me go to bed late (later than normal) deserves praise.

The Animation and Sound was amazing and truly brilliant. The OP song was very catchy and it really added to the feel of the Anime and the ED was a perfect ending to every episode, although when it came to the eps where you have to watch the next ep straight away, I kinda didn’t watch the ED’s. The Animation really went well with the Anime it is too and it couldn’t have been done any better than it was.

The Characters were truly remarkable, even the ones that I didn’t really like. Oz, Gilbert and Break were my favourite 3 characters because they all had a personality that I really enjoy, for example, Breaks humour.

Overall I really loved this Anime and it was so close to be perfect, but the slowness and part of the ending really robbed it of that perfect rating.

Review of Attack on Titan

The Storyline is very very very unique. It shows friendship at the most roughest of times, anger, love and very strong emotions for different reasons and for both positive and negative reasons. The whole concept of Titans, really do make you think about life and how easy it is right now, and if this were to happen in real life, would we be able to risk our lives for the good of humanity.

The Animation and Sound was really good. The animation was clear and perfect for the Anime. The sound was also very clear. The Opening and Ending songs were AMAZING and were perfect for the Anime and what was happening at the time. Our favourite is definitely the first Opening.

The Characters are strong, bold, unique and the majority of them bounce of each others personality as they help each other with their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Eren - He is a very strong character but shows weaknesses at times. He's very strong minded and gives it his all at all occasions. As the Anime progresses, he gains strength in all areas.  <3
  • Armin - He is weaker with physical strength but has a very strong mind and also very good with strategy planning which he shows at many occasions when no-one else did. <3
  • Mikasa - Her personality is very closed off, which makes us have a lack of connection with her, but she is a kick ass woman who is a great fighter and that is when her personality comes alive. <3
  • Levi - Very hot. He is very strong and has the kind of same personality has Mikasa in one way, but different in another. Not knowing his background makes him mysterious as well as sexy. <3
  • Dot - He drinks a lot but is very strong willed and is a very good commander.
  • Erwin - He is a great leader as he sees potential in Eren. He is very good at strategy planning and is willing to sacrifice his own and other lives to save humanity.
  • Zoe - Has a crazy and mad personality which is very overwhelming at first but learn to love her. She wants to know more about the Titans and will risk her own life to do that.
  • Titan's - Scary, Creepy, Strong, Funny and Violent.

Overall this Anime was amazing and unique. We really enjoyed watching this and it kept us on the edge of our seats for the majority of the series. We can't wait for second series next year.

Review of The Irregular at Magic High School

This Anime piqued my interest because it was magic, and of course because the first OP was Rising Hope byLiSA (I love the artist LiSA).

The Storyline was really interesting and it started a little slow in my opinion but after a few eps I got really into it and because addicted to it. Any Anime that has magic, action and even some comedy really do get my go ahead at trying it out. Although this is a magic Anime, I would come close to say, it’s a little like alchemy because of the way it’s done and used.

The Animation and Sound was one of the best things about this Anime, it was amazing and it fit the type of Anime perfectly. The First and Second OP’s were amazing and the Second ED was equally amazing.

The Characters is the only part that I felt… got on my nerve and I found lacking something. The two main characters who are siblings, as in Brother and Sister were just a little too close to comfort and the fact Miyuki was practically throwing herself against her brother was just a little off putting at times. Even though both Tatsuya and Miyuki are classed as main characters, I really preferred when the focus was centred around Tatsuya as his personality was lacking in a really good way and I just loved how he does whatever it takes to protect the people he cares about, especially his sister. The other characters were amazing to make the Anime just that little more amazing especially Erika and Masaki.

Overall I really did enjoy this Anime and it got really good after the first few eps and even better halfway through. So please know that although you may not like it at first, when the OP changes to the second one, that is when it will get even better.

Review of Sword Art Online II

The storyline was interesting as to how they would move to the next VRMMORPG but they manage to pull off a great storyline as the first half is about Kirito and GGO, where as the second half is about Asuna, ALO and trying to clear the boss.
After some discussion we have decided that certain episodes were not needed or were dragged out just to fill the time slot, but the majority of the episodes were really well executed and thought out.
P.S: The debriefing episode was really pointless because we knew the whole storyline as it wasn't that long ago since we watch the first half of the season.

The Animation and Sound were just as good and amazing as the first season as there wasn't much different to the Animation, although the opening titles were definitely much more upbeat and excited which got us in the mood for the episode ahead.

The characters that was returning from season 1:
  • Kirito - Strong and baddass just like he was in Season 1, apart from in the first main ARC of the season, you get to see another side of him.
  • Asuna - Pretty much the same as Kirito but the other way around, you get too see another side of her in the second main ARC.
  • Yui - Cute, Small and brilliant just as normal.
  • Leafa, Lisbeth, Silica and Klein are just as amazing as the first season. They help Asuna and Kirito and are always there for them.

The characters that were new to season 2:
  1. Sinon - Sinon is a calm, cool and strong character but because of her past situations she's also one of the most fragile-minded characters of the whole series.
  2. Kyōji - Kyōji is always there for Sinon in both the real world and virtual world but is easily made jealous.
  3. Deathgun - The name speaks for it self. Killing strong opponents in the game and...
  4. Yuuki - Yuuki is a very kind and bubbly strong leader but just like Sinon is also fragile in certain ways because of a certain situation.
  5. Kyouko (Asuna's Mother) -  She's very narrow minded but does care  a lot for Asuna and her life, as she wants her daughter to get the best in life. She is very reluctant to change but she has a heart.

P.S: Kyōji was annoying as hell when he kept shouting ASADA-SAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall we really liked this season, but certain things stopped it from being perfect in our eyes.

Review of DRAMAtical Murder

The Storyline was a really slow start and now and then was a little slow, but when it finally picked up and was at the right pace it was unique and amazing. I have to say that the description for this Anime really doesn’t cut it.

The Animation was so amazing and unique and to be honest was one of the best things about this Anime.

The Sound was also really good but the opening and ending songs weren’t very good and in my opinion didn’t help with building up excitement for the Anime.

The Characters were also one of the best things about this Anime; there wasn’t one character like another character. They were all very unique but my favourite characters were Clear and Noiz.

Overall I really loved this Anime series but some changes could have been improved. This Anime hasn’t been noticed very much but hopefully it will soon.
